Founder

I'm a Ph.D. candidate in Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. I built The Lab Post because keeping up with the literature was taking more time than it should have. I'd sit down to search for papers, spend an hour digging through results, and still feel like I was missing things. Many researchers I've talked to have some version of the same experience.

The idea behind The Lab Post is straightforward. You describe your research once, and the system finds new papers that are actually relevant to your work. Not just keyword matches, but papers scored on how closely they connect to what you're doing.

While testing the system on my own research, I ended up spending the next hour reading the papers it surfaced instead of working on the tool itself. That was the moment I knew I'd stumbled on something worth sharing.

What I wanted to build

I wanted it to be like a smart colleague who’s obsessed with the literature, reads everything, and shares the paper with you because they understand your project. If that gives you back an hour for your science, or an hour with your family, both are wins to me.

Every stage of the pipeline went through real experiments. Multiple replicates, controls, blinded evaluation, statistical analysis, the same way I’d test something in the lab. It was like doing another PhD project on top of my current PhD.
